Engineering, construction and asset management company, Laing O’Rourke has announced it will restructure its United Kingdom-based operations which will result in the loss of 200 jobs. The job losses will occur in the company’s back office as well as in some of the regional offices. Streamlining of the regional offices will result in some closures. Laing O’Rourke is the United Kingdom’s largest private contractors and is headquartered in Dartford, England. The announcement of this restructure follows a decision by the company to sell its operations in Australia.
