Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Subsidiary of Danish group Nissens, Nissens Slovakia, will create up to 120 new jobs in Svit. The Slovak manufacturer of automotive radiators, climate control products and thermal solutions for businesses, will lease 3,500 m2 for a new production plant from Chemosvit Company in Svit, including services and maintenance, with the possibility of further space expansion. New investment of around €1million will take place in the next 6-12 months. The start of the production is planned for mid-March 2016. According to Darina Stefanakova, from the communication and marketing department of Svit City, it is a long-term investment in the region, where qualified workforce is available. The municipality intends to support the company through provision of temporary housing for employees commuting to Svit from more remote locations. Nissens already manufactures thermal solutions in Slovakia in its plant in Cachtice.
