European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Orange has announced that it will create 300 new jobs at its call centre subsidiaries in Oviedo and Guadalajara. Those jobs will be related to customer services. This case is related to the restructuring plan, previously reported in the ERM, which the company is carrying out as a result of the acquisition of the Spanish telecommunication company Jazztel. Under this plan, Orange has presented a labour force adjustment affecting 550 workers.
