Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.

Supermarket company Tesco has announced that it is to create 150 new jobs at its call centre in Dundee. Across all elements of its business in Tayside, the total number of Tesco employees will rise to 2,000 once these new jobs are in place. The call centre already employs 1,000 people and each year handles millions of calls from customers. Tesco has said that it wants to recruit friendly and warm colleagues to add to the 'community spirit' of the call centre. It is not known when these new vacancies will be filled.
