Description
Boots chemists has announced plans to cut between 300 and 350 managerial jobs. The restructure will affect assistant manager roles in the company's larger stores, and formal consultation with those affected is understood to be starting. The announcement to cut jobs comes after Boots revealed plans in 2015 to cut 700 jobs from its UK operations as part of a three year plan to streamline the business and secure future growth. The timetable for these latest job cuts has not been announced.
In addition Boots will also transfer 400 staff to the call centre company Teleperformance. The work will remain located at the Boots site in Nottingham.
