Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Engineering company INA Lanškrouon, a subsidiary of Germany-based groupSchäffler, is to create 900 new jobs during 2016. The firm plans to expand its production for the automotive production at its two sites (Svitavy, Lanškroun) with an investment of CZK 2.5 billion (EUR 92.5 mn).The government has approved an investment incentive of CZK 255 million (EUR 9.4 mn). Most of the new jobs (855) will be created in the Svitavy plant, while the remaining 45 positions will be added in the Lanškroun site. The production at a newly built plant in Svitavy is due to start in September 2016.
