Description

Internet retailer Amazon announced plans to create 1,500 jobs at various locations across Germany in 2016. As soon as these jobs are filled, the company's workforce in Germany will reach a threshold of more than 14,500 employees. The jobs will be located in the company's headquarters in Berlin and Munich, in its research centres (Berlin, Aachen, Dresden), in its customer service centre in Regensburg and in its logistics centres. The company emphasises that they are not only creating jobs in the shipping sector but also hiring engineers, account managers, content editors and sales managers. The job creation is due to growing demand from across Europe.

Amazon, the world’s largest e-commerce company, with headquarters in Seattle, US, currently employs around 230,800 employees worldwide.
