Description
Pharmaceutical company Lek, which is part of the global generics leader Sandoz (Novartis), has enlarged its bio-pharmaceutical development centre in Mengeš, near Ljubljana. The investment in new laboratory facility, which is worth over 10 million Euro, will allow the company to develop final dosage form for biosimilars and not only active ingredients. As a result, 100 new jobs are going to be created in Mengeš. An important incentive for the development of biosimilars was Sandoz's entry in the US market in 2015.
