Description
The metro operator of Madrid, Metro Madrid, has initiated a selection process which aims to hire 360 new drivers. Toe goal of the measure is to increase the frequency of the service by 14% and, accordingly, to reduce waiting times. The regional government expects to reduce the waiting time to 4.8 minutes on non peak-services. The process has been initiated with 3,600 candidates. The selection process will be initiated with a written test of around 2 hours after which they will have to pass a medical test. Finally, candidates selected will take training courses on driving. These training courses will last three months. The first 180 candidates selected will start to work in June 2016. The remaining 180 will start in October 2016.
