European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Sahlgrenska University Hospital is to cut 400 jobs in the Västra Götland Region during 2016. Expenses need to be cut by SEK 200 million since the local population in the region has increased without new funds being allocated to the hospital. Jobs will be decreased through non-recruitment of new staff to replace resigning personnel. Moreover around 20 of the hospitals 2000 available beds will be removed as well.
