Description
Steel mill Huta Bankowa has announced that will cut about 100 jobs at its steelworks in Dąbrowa Górnicza. Despite intensive negotiations, the company and the local trade unions have not signed a bilateral agreement. The board has announced that collective dismissals will be implemented even if trade unions have not accepted the conditions of the restructuring programme. The company revealed that the restructuring programme is necessary due to the declining demand for steel products. The steelworks produces long products, wheel tyres and machined rings. Currently, the company employs over 500 people.
