Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Terminal operator DP World will invest some 270 million Euro in Antwerp which will create 300 new jobs between now and 2020. At this moment, DP World Antwerp has 850 employees handling some 2 million containers per annum. The new employees will increase handling capacity to 2,7 million containers per annum. The initial phase of the plan involves 100 new jobs, mainly in 'skip-loading'.
