Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Forsee Power – a designer, integrator and manufacturer of battery systems – inaugurated its new production site located in Moissy-Cramayel (Seine-et-Marne) on 5 November, with 100 new jobs on the site. The company, born from the merger of four companies including Dow Kokam and Uniros Industrie, invested €1 million to equip a building of 3,000 square meters. the Moissy-Cramayel site hosts Forsee Power's administrative services and its manufacture of batteries that were previously dispersed in two sites in Lognes (Seine-et-Marne) and Vert-le-etit (Essonne). Forsee Power also has plants in Maison Rouge-en-Brie (Seine-et-Marne), Poland and China. Since 2011, the company increased its workforce from 36 to 210 employees worldwide (85 in France). The company plans to hire 100 people within two years to manage an important development. It expects to produce 500 batteries of electric buses in the next months, compared to 180 currently. The turnover, which is not communicated, has doubled between 2014 and will quadrupled between 2015 and 2016.
