Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
On 15 October, ID Logistics announced the opening of a 70,000 m2 warehouse in Moissy-Cramayel (Seine-et-Marne) for the Action group. This platform will allow the Dutch non-food discount retailer to carry out its ambitious expansion plans in France. The site will have around 100 employees when it opens in February 2016, then 250 at the end of 2016. A total of 600 is expected at the end of 2017. ID Logistics will train all of its staff in roles such as preparation, inventory taking, loading, fork lift truck operation, audit, team leadership and heads of department. ID Logistics has 20 logistics sites in the South-east of Paris. In addition to the new site in Moissy-Cramayel, it will have around 2,000 permanent employees in the region. ID Logistic has 13,000 employees.
