Bombardier Transportation Poland, the producer of transportation equipment headquartered in Canada, has announced that will create 100 new jobs at its new plant in Wrocław (Wałbrzych Special Economic Zone). The plant, at which body shells for new ICx high speed train will be produced, is expected to be operational in June 2016. The company's investment in Poland is estimated to be PLN 114mn (EUR 26.82mn USD 29.84mn). The plant will feature a state-of-the art 3D laser welding system which not only enables production of the highest-quality welds but also is reducing the time required for the body-shell production process. Currently, in four Polish units located in Wrocław, Katowice, Łódź and Warszawa Bombardier Transportation employs approx. 1,000 people.
