Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The US pharmaceutical group Bristol-Myers Squibb (BMS) announced that 122 workers will be made redundant in the headquarter of its subsidiary UPSA, at Rueil-Malmaison. The job cuts will mainly affect its administrative, support and commercial workforce. The BMS group previously cut 235 positions in 2013 (see previous factsheet).
