Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
French car parts producer Faurecia will invest EUR 8 million in its largest production unit in Romania, located in Budesti, 20 km from Ramnicu Valcea, where it will hire 1,600 employees.
The construction of this factory has already begun, according to the company. It will cover 12,000 sqm and will be completed by February 2016. According to the authorities, Faurencia will benefit from reduced local taxes for the next four years.
The company produces car parts for Ford, Renault-Nissan, Peugeot, BMW, Daimler, General Motors, Toyota, and Hyundai. In Romania, Faurecia has other three factories in Pitesti (Arges County, South Romania), in Craiova (Dolj County, South-Vest Romania) and Talmaciu (Sibiu County, Centre Romania).
