Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.

Portuguese construction company Somague, owned by the Spanish group Sacyr Vallehermoso, is to dismiss 273 workers in Portugal. The workers have already been informed about the collective dismissal. Somague's national activity is being replaced by international activity in countries such as Angola, Mozambique, and Brazil. In 2014, Somague employed 980 workers in Portugal (2,330 around the world).
