Description
Czech Ministry of Defence has announced that it will recruit up to 1,400 soldiers for the Czech armed forces in 2016. This year's state budget allowed an enlarged budget for the armed forces. The army is looking for 6,500 recruits and is seeking to recruit 2,000 professionals annually within five years. Due to the lack of resources, the army was recruiting only 600 soldiers a year until last year. Currently, about 20,000 people are serving in the military compared with levels of 26,500 previously planned.
