US owned defence company Lockheed Martin has announced plans to create 327 new jobs at its offices in Glasgow. The jobs were announced at the opening of the company's new offices on Monday 21 September. The company has said that the new jobs will be part of its growth in information systems, and cited Glasgow as the perfect location for the new development because of its strong science and technology sectors and its universities. The company has already created 50 new jobs since the start of 2015. It is not known when the new positions at the Glasgow office will be filled.
