Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
BWI, Chinese manufacturer of shock-absorbers for vehicles, has began the construction of a new factory at Panattoni Park in the city of Cheb and plans to create 300 jobs there. The new factory could be in operation from mid-2016. Recruitment of employees is already underway and the highest positions have been filled. Recruitment of production workers should start at the beginning of 2016. At its new factory in Cheb, BWI will produce passive shock absorbers for higher-class vehicles from car-makers including BMW, Volvo, Audi, Opel and Jaguar Land Rover.
