Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.

Sandoz, world leader in developing and manufacturing generic pharmaceuticals and part of the Swiss Novartis Group, has opened a new production plant in Schaftenau (Tyrol) creating 100 new high-skilled jobs. At the plant ready-to-fill syringes and auto-injections for Novartis and Sandoz “biosimilars” will be produced, which are cheaper versions of biopharmaceutical products after their patent has expired. Biosimilars are typically used to treat cancer and auto-immune diseases.
