Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Automotive lighting manufacturer Varroc Lighting Systems has announced the recruitment of 200 university educated technicians at its sites in Nový Jičín, Rychvald and Ostrava. One hundred new jobs will be added by the end of 2015 and the remaining 100 positions in 2016. The company with more than 2,300 employees ranks among the major employers in the Moravian-Silesian Region and the Czech Republic. Varroc Lighting Systems is registered in the Netherlands, headquartered in Plymouth, Michigan, USA, and operates in Asia, Europe and North America, with nearly 5000 employees worldwide. The Varroc Group completed the acquisition of the global lighting division of Visteon Corporation on the 1st of August 2012 and now brands itself as Varroc Lighting Systems.
