European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Danish pharmaceuticals company, Lundbeck , published 19 August 2015 a restructuring plan. Part of the plan is to terminate 1000 out the company's 6000 jobs at world level. The restructuring foresees to dismiss 300 employees mainly through restructurings at the headquarters in Valby and, at the same time expand the newly established Business Service Centre in Krakow, Poland. The obligatory negotiation with the union representative that organises laboratory technicians, has started. It is expected that the programme will reduce the total cost base by approximately DKK 3 billion in 2017.
