Description
Fabric manufacturer, WL Gore has announced plans to cut 120 jobs in Livingston from its 200 strong workforce. The company announced that the move was part of a 'global business review' meaning that the operations at the West Lothian site would need to be realigned. The company expects to enter into a formal consultation process for the affected jobs, which cover both manufacturing and technical jobs, in the next few weeks. In advance of this process Gore has asked for volunteers for redundancy from all areas of the factory.
The company which is known for manufacturing the Gore-Tex brand had upgraded the Livingston plant three years ago.
