PKP Cargotabor, subsidiary of the PKP Cargo group, has announced that 107 jobs will be cut through a voluntary redundancy programme by the end of July 2015. Redundant employees will receive a severance pay according to seniority. The company expenditures to cover the cost of this programme are estimated to PLN 6.4mn (EUR 1.51 mn USD 1.71 mn). The programme aims to improve financial and organisational effectiveness of the company. Currently, the company employs 2,400 people in 15 units across the country. PKP Cargotabor is one of the largest rolling stock companies in Europe.
