Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Glasgow based IT consultancy company ECS has announced that it is to create 200 new jobs by the end of the current year, 2015. This will bring total headcount to approximately 850. IT professionals and graduates are being sought to fill these new positions, which have been created in response to strong demand for the company's services. The roles will include project and programme managers as well as IT security specialists and infrastructure consultants. 50 of the new posts will be in the company's offices in Glasgow and Edinburgh. The remaining positions will be spread across Leeds, Manchester and London.
