Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
250 new jobs will be created by Grupa Stocznia Gdańsk (Gdańsk Shipyard Group) by the end of 2016. The company declared to hire 100 people in 2015 and another 150 in 2016. The company, which specializes in the production of ship structures and parts for the offshore wind farm industry, will recruit fitters, welders, blacksmiths, and machine operators. The company will provide special training and workshops for the hired staff. Currently, GSG employs 1,000 people.
The sources report that Pomorska Special Economic Zone became the main owner of the shipyard grounds on the island 'Wyspa Ostrów' for the price of PLN 116mn (EUR 27.89mn USD 31mn) which will help in the revitalization of the shipyards grounds and creation of new infrastructure for future investors.
