Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The connectors and cable assembly manufacturer Souriau has announced it will recruit about 100 employees by December 2016. The new jobs will be spread between its two factories of La Ferté-Bernard (100 employees) and Champagné (600 employees). The company is responding to an increased demand from buyers of its aeronautical products (over 50% of its turnover). The positions to be filled are engineers in R&D or quality, technicians, logistic staff, specialised workers.
Souriau is since 2011 a subsidiary of the US group Esterline.
