Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The management of US pharmaceutical group Schering-Plough has announced to its Works council, its intention to sell its site at Hérouville Saint-Clair (383 employees) and to cut 83 positions by December 2015. In 2011, about 100 jobs has been cut at this site after Merck acquired Schering-Plough. The management is looking for a company to take over the site.
