Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
IT company OVH is to recruit 100 additional staff by 2015, in France – at its sites in Brest (Finistere), Lyon (Rhone) and Rennes (Ille et Vilaine) – but also in Spain, Poland and Canada. The new positions are mainly for IT developers, but also technicians and commercial staff. Established in 1999, the French company operates 12 data centres as of 2013. In France, the group had announced previously plans to recruit 100 employees in 2011, 500 in 2012, 150 in 2013 and 150 in 2014. It has recruited at group-level, 150 employees since the beginning of 2015.
