European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Natural resource institute, Luonnonvarakeskus, is letting go of 146 employees in Helsinki, Finland.
The layoffs will be done over the summer and in autumn. In addition to the direct dismissals, the workforce will be reduced through natural wastage and non-renewal of temporary contracts.
The main reason for the restructuring is the government's decision to cut Luonnonvarakeskus's funding by nearly EUR 15 million 2014-2016.
