Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The provider of social work activities, Destia, has announced to recruit between 500 and 600 part-time employees by 2015.
Destia is a provider of in-house care services and it is the result of the mergerof two social work activities groups: Sous mon toit and Avidom. Sous mon toit had about 60 agencies in France, but not inParis, and was specialised in childcare activities (65% of its turnover) and maintaining elderly people at home (35% of its turnover). Avidom operated just in Paris and for elderly people. The new group has now 3,000 employees and its turnover is expected to increase from 34 to €40 million between 2014 and 2015.
