Description
Removal group Demeco announced in April the intention to recruit about 150 truck drivers on permanent contract. Only 25 drivers have been hired since the beginning of April. The company is struggling to fill the vacancies although the salary is higher that the minimum wage (between 1,900 and 2,000 euro). The company CEO has stressed that the positions should be filled quickly to cope with peak activities in the summer period.
The group increased its turnover from 70 to 90 million euro from 2103 to 2014 due to external growth opeations. It currently employs 1,000 employees in France and Spain.
