Description
ABB, a Switzerland-based company operating in power and automation technologies, is to create between 200 and 300 new jobs at its two recently opened plants (Trutnov, Brno) by the end of 2015. The company has operated in the Czech Republic since 1970 and today employs 3,400 people in seven sites. In the long run, the firm intends to add at least a further 200 new jobs (the overall number of job gains for Trutnov site would be 300-350 for the Trutnov site and 100-150 for the Brno site). ABB is one of the largest engineering companies as well as one of the largest conglomerates in the world. ABB has operations in around 100 countries, with approximately 150,000 employees.
