Description
British Manufacturer Rolls Royce has announced plans to cut 218 jobs at two of its sites in Scotland.
The news of the cuts at the Inchinnan and East Kilbride sites comes after it was announced in 2014 that the company would be looking to make cuts of 2,600 worldwide. The majority of the worldwide cuts were expected in the company's Aerospace division and this has been borne out by the decision to cut jobs in Scotland.
The plan is to cut 187 jobs in Inchinnan in 2015 and 2016 and a further 31 jobs will be lost at East Kilbride during 2015.
