French supermarket group Dia will recruit 500 new employees. The company is mostly seeking to employ butchers and fishmongers for its meat and fish counters. Dia is currently evolving towards a supermarket that provides fresh products, especially fresh meat and fish. During 2014 Dia provided 13,000 hours of training for 300 employees who are now working in fresh produce sections. The new store format focusing on fresh products will be applied to 160 new supermarkets that Dia has bought from the firm Eroski, mostly located in the Basque Country. No information is available as yet regarding the precise timeline for the job creation.
