Description
Croatian national telecoms operator Hrvatski Telekom is to dismiss 250 employees. Hrvatski Telekom is committed to managing the restructuring in a socially responsible manner.
The company has reached an agreement with the unions on increased severance payments, compared to the level of severance payments laid out in the provisions of the collective agreement. The severance payments are, therefore, on average, approximately 30% higher than those specified in this agreement and will apply to all 250 affected employees.
Retraining programs, counselling and job search assistance have been made available to the affected employees. These support activities have been initiated in line with the Labour Act and the collective agreement.
