Spanish restaurant chain and coffee shops operator Compania del Tropico has announced that it will hire about 470 new employees in 2015. At the end of the year, the company will have around 1,500 employees. Some 150 employees will be hired by company-owned outlets and another 320 will be hired by the franchised outlets. The first hirings have already taken place in Alicante, Castellón, Málaga, Mallorca, Sevilla, Tenerife and Valencia, where the firm has opened 14 new outlets. The company was created one year ago and so far it has opened 260 outlets. In 2015, the company expects to increase its profits from EUR 50.1mn recorded in 2014 to EUR 60mn.
