French oil company, Total, has announced plans to cut jobs at its facility in Lindsey, Lincolnshire. 180 of the 580 jobs on the site are due to be cut and production is set to be halved. This follows the company announcing a £4.2 billion loss in the fourth quarter of 2014. The timetable for the job losses has not been announced. The Lindsey site is the third largest refinery in the UK and one of the most advanced in Europe.
