Description
The subsidiary of Danish shoe producer ECCO Slovakia has announced redundancies in its factory in Martin. Dismissals, which are attributed to the unfavourable situation in Russia, concerns 260 jobs and will take place by the end of May 2015. Presently, the factory in Martin has 1,085 employees. Trade unions succeeded in negotiations with the management and dismissed employees will receive severance pay over the standards set by the Labour Code.
