Description
US oil company, ConocoPhilips, has announced that it will cut 230 jobs across the United Kingdom after a review of its UK operations. The jobs will be cut by March 2015. The job cuts will come from the company’s head office located in Scotland and also from offshore oil fields located in the North Sea between Scotland and Norway. The cuts are aimed at improving its UK cost structure. ConocoPhilips is a Houston-based independent oil company. The company’s UK business is separate from its Norwegian business.
