Description
Pilkington Automotive announced plans to create 300 new jobs at its production unit in Chmielów (Tarnobrzeg Special Economic Zone) by the end of 2015. NSG Group is to invest EUR 24 mln (USD 30.13 mln) to expand the factory. This is the second stage of investments planned by the group in the period 2011-2015 worth a total of PLN 450 mln (EUR 106.43 mln, USD 133.59 mln). The project will lead to a production capacity increase of 50%. The factory in Chmielów produces automobile windshields and windows. Currently, the factory employs 800 people.
Pilkington Automotive belongs to NSG Group, which has been operating in Poland since 1993 and has two production facilities (Chmielów and Sandomierz).
