Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Volkswagen Poznań announced the creation of 200 jobs in the new factory that is currently being built in Września (Wałbrzych Special Economic Zone). The newly employed workers are undergoing training.
In October 2014, the company received a permit for building a factory which is expected to be fully operational in 2016. The new plant will manufacture a new generation of Volkswagen Crafter. Volkswagen is to invest PLN 3.3 mln (EUR 0.76 mln USD 0.93 mln) and create 2,300 new jobs in total.
Volkswagen has been operating in Poznań since 1993 and it employs approximately 6,800 people in its Poznań factory.
