Description

ISD Częstochowa, the Polish steelworks, announced plans to create about 200 new jobs at the Częstochowa steel plant which is expected to be reopened and operational on 20 November 2014.

The plant was shut down in 2013 as a result of the economic crisis which hit the steel industry. Jacek Łęski, spokesperson of the steel mill, revealed that the company has imported semi-finished steel products from its unit in Ukraine since 2013, but since spring 2014 supplies have been irregular due to political situation in Ukraine. As a result, the company decided to reopen the steel plant in Częstochowa.

ISD Częstochowa employs about 1,260 people.
