Description
The Czech government (Bohuslav Sobotka cabinet-CSSD) plans to create 2,688 new jobs across the public administration in 2015. It will be the largest recruitment in recent years. The government indicates that more civil servants are needed in order to improve tax collection and to draw down EU subsidies. The Treasury expects staff increases and salary increases in the public sector will cost CZK 6.5 billion.
Currently, the state employs approximately 300,000 civil servants.
