Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
ETI European Food Industries, the Romanian subsidiary of Turkish group Eti Gida Sanayi ve Ticaret, is to create 300 new jobs in Ghercesti, near Craiova (Dolj County) with the opening of a pastry production plant in 2015.
The plant will be operational in October 2015 and will produce sweet and savoury biscuits, cakes and chocolate. The total cost of the investment is EUR 40 million. The company benefits of a long-term loan from EBRD of EUR 23 million and a state aid of about EUR 6 million.
