Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Groupe Zannier, a clothing retailer specialised in children's fashion, has announced a restructuring plan envisaging 162 job cuts and 59 offers to modify employment contracts. In detail, the job cuts refer to 41 retail jobs and 121 jobs at its support and logistics services units. As reported, the job reduction measure is due to increased competition and a decrease of demand for children's clothes. The group has offices in Paris and in Saint-Chamont (Loire) and 802 shops in France.
