Description
Online food retailer, Chronodrive, announced plans to close 14 of its grocery 'click & collect' operation sites in France. As reported, the restructiuring will affect 233 jobs, but the firm announced that some of the 266 current open job vacancies may be offered to the affected staff. According to the sources, the sites are considered as non-profitable and the restructuring aims at rationalising the network. Chronodrive initiated a hybrid "drive through" shopping model in 2004 that is now used also by other food retailers. The firm hasn't revealed which sites will be affected.
