GFW - Growing Fresh World, producer of fresh mushrooms in Portugal, will create 118 new jobs at its ten units in Chaves. As reported, initially there will be created ten units of mushroom production that will be operational by the first half of 2015. GFW project foresees the construction of 36 production units which represents a total investment of €7 million. This project was supported by NSRF – National Strategic Reference Framework. One of the main challenges will be the export of mushrooms.
For the construction of this project, the municipality provided the land, reduced urban tax rates and reduced IMI (property transfer tax).
